New Delhi: The reported fresh Covid cases continue to be on a decline in India, with 70,421 infections being recorded in the last 24 hours, against 80,834 recorded during the previous day.
However, the deaths due to Covid continue to be on a higher side as 3921 fatalities were recorded in the last 24 hours.
The total death toll due to coronavirus has now risen to 3,74,305 while the cumulative active cases are 9,73,158.
Yesterday, the country reported 80,834 new COVID19 cases and 3,303 deaths in a span of 24 hours.
On Saturday last, the country recorded 84,332 new single day COVID19 cases along with 4,002 fatalities in 24 hours.
On Friday, the country reported 91,702 new COVID-19 cases and 3,403 deaths in 24 hours.
On Thursday, the country recorded a big jump in single-day deaths due to coronavirus, with 6148 fatalities being recorded in a span of 24 hours, against 2219 recorded the previous day.
The government also reported 94,052 new single day COVID-19 cases on Thursday, against 92,596 reported on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the country reported 86,498 new corona cases and 2123 deaths in a period of 24 hours.
