New Delhi (NVI): In an effort to boost the ambitious “Make in India” initiative, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has inked a pact with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). The MoU, to cooperate, collaborate and pursue industrial application oriented research programmes and its commercialisation on a large scale, will remain in force for five years.
The first joint project to be taken up under this collaboration for commercialisation by BHEL will be various water purification and sewage disposal related technologies developed by CSIR.
The MoU between CSIR and BHEL was signed by Dr Shekhar C Mande, Secretary, Department for Scientific & Industrial Research and Director General, CSIR and Dr Nalin Shinghal, Chairman & Managing Director, BHEL here today.
