Delhi’s air quality to improve to Moderate category tomorrow, drizzles likely tonight: IMD

New Delhi (NIV): The air quality in Delhi-NCR is likely to improve to Moderate category tomorrow and Thursday, however, it remained in Moderate to Poor category today, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

“The air quality over Delhi-NCR is likely to remain in Moderate to Poor category on April 6, 2021. The air quality is likely to improve to Moderate category on April 7 and 8, 2021. The Outlook for subsequent 5 Days: The air quality is likely to remain largely in Moderate category,” IMD said.

According to IMD the city likely to witness very light rain tonight with wind speed 10-12 kmph.

“The IMD has predicted that the predominant surface wind is likely to be coming from East directions of Delhi with wind speed 10-12 kmph, partly cloudy sky with possibility of very light rain/drizzle towards night on 06.04.2021,” IMD said.

It said that partly cloudy sky and strong surface winds during the day on April 7 is expected while on April 8, clear sky may appear.

“No significant dust transport from neighbouring region to Delhi-NCR is likely,” the IMD noted.
