New Delhi (NVI): A major fire broke out in the ICU ward of Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi this morning.
Around 60 patients were evacuated and shifted to other wards in the hospital as the fire engulfed the ICU ward.
A total of 9 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. No casualty has been reported in the incident and the fire was doused after some hours, according to media reports.
The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Safdarjung Hospital is a multi-specialty hospital and the largest Centre-run hospital in the country in terms of bed strength.
