Foreign terrorists in J&K will be neutralised soon: DGP

Jammu, July 3 (NVI): The security forces have intensified operations with the aim of expeditiously neutralising foreign terrorists active in Jammu and Kashmir, Director General
Police (DGP) RR Swain said today.
His assertive statement came against the backdrop of spurt in terror activities in recent months in the Jammu Division, which saw attacks by foreign terrorists in Rajouri, Poonch, Reasi, Kathua and Doda districts.
While a few of the terrorists involved in these attacks have been killed, others are still at large and expansive searches continue to track them down.
Swain, while talking to the media, said the security forces are committed to uphold the law and ensure safety and security of the citizens.
He said the security forces are equipped and prepared to handle any threat posed by the terrorists.
“Our forces are vigilant and proactive in dealing with any activities that compromise the peace and stability of our region. We have intensified our operations and are confident that these terrorists will be neutralized shortly,” the chief of J&K Police said.
“We are duty bound and are working under the parameters of law responsibly,” he said and highlighted that comprehensive measures are being taken to track and eliminate these foreign elements.
This statement comes amidst increased security measures and heightened vigilance across the region, reflecting the ongoing efforts to maintain law and order.
The public is urged to remain calm and cooperate with the authorities as they continue their operations to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
