Quetta, July 17 (NVI) Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed to have killed 40 personnel of the occupying Pakistani forces and injured several others in 48 attacks across Balochistan over a period of 15 days.
Under the economic blockade, vehicles violating the blockades on main highways were targeted and destroyed between July 1 and 15, BLA spokesman Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement.
Furthermore, four key bridges were also destroyed by planting explosive devices, he said.
During various clashes with the occupying forces, BLA lost five freedom fighters, he added.
He gave the details as follows:
July 1
In the Karri dor area of Dasht, Mastung, sarmachars targeted a supply vehicle of the occupying army in an attack, resulting in the elimination of two personnel and preventing the enemy from delivering supplies to its posts.
Previously on June 29, the occupying army had faced failure in transporting supplies at the same location due to an attack.
On the same day, one cargo vehicle on the main highway in Kuchaki, Nushki, and two cargo vehicles on the Chedgi route in Panjgur were targeted.
July 3
In the Zarin Jungle area of Nushki, an occupying army vehicle was targeted in an IED attack, eliminating at least two personnel. Similarly, on the Sibi Road in Dasht, Mastung, a vehicle of the occupying army was targeted in an explosion, which also damaged a key bridge.
On the same day, sarmachars established roadblocks on the Shahrag-Harnai and Shahrag-Ziarat highways, maintaining complete control over them for two days. During this blockade, two suspicious individuals were arrested and are currently being interrogated, while in the Reko area of Nushki, two bridges on the Nushki-Kharan road were destroyed in explosions.
Sarmachars also took control of the Quetta-Taftan route in Dalbandin, setting fire to and destroying large vehicles. The same night, clashes broke out between the occupying forces and sarmachars, during which the occupying army suffered losses.
July 4
In the Balngoor Machat area of Kech, foot soldiers of the occupying army were targeted in a bomb blast, in which one soldier was killed on the spot and another was injured. Meanwhile, in the Mirzazo area of Tump, sarmachars targeted an occupying army vehicle and foot soldiers engaged in a clearance operation in an armed attack, resulting in the on-the-spot death of one soldier and injuries to at least three others.
July 5
In the Ahmed Wal area of Nushki, sarmachars took complete control of the police station and set it on fire, while releasing three arrested police personnel after a stern warning. Meanwhile, in the Sami area of Kech, sarmachars fired several rounds from grenade launchers at the central camp of the occupying army, inflicting personnel and material losses on them.
July 6
By establishing a roadblock on the main highway in the Beencha area of Surab, sarmachars set fire to a vehicle transporting minerals. On the same day, in the Sonaro area of Khuzdar, sarmachars targeted an occupying army vehicle in an IED blast, inflicting severe damage.
July 7
Sarmachars targeted the occupying army in the Khalifat area of Ziarat near Harnai when hundreds of enemy personnel were attempting to advance into the area; three occupying army personnel were killed on the spot in this attack.
On the evening of the same day, sarmachars set ambushes at three different locations, eliminating over seven occupying army personnel and injuring several others, forcing them to retreat. During these intense clashes, three BLA freedom fighters Sangat Rahimullah alias Zafar, Sangat Khair Mohammad alias Hamal, and Sangat Kaka alias Rasheed embraced martyrdom.
July 7
Near Killi Karim Bakhsh in Kharan, the occupying army suffered heavy losses when sarmachars launched an armed attack on the enemy’s foot soldiers. Meanwhile, in the Ahmed Wal area of Nushki, sarmachars inflicted personnel and material losses on the occupying army during another operation.
On the same day, at Dedh Mor in Chamalang, Gul Baig Dadyani, an employee of the security company for mineral extraction vehicles, was eliminated in a remote-controlled blast. The said agent was not only part of the exploitative company but was also involved in working as an informant for the occupying army in the area and acting as an accomplice to recruit local youth into the military.
July 8
In the Mehlabi area of Kalat, sarmachars targeted the occupying army at two different locations, resulting in the elimination of two personnel and injuries to several others.
July 9
In the Sachi area of Washuk, sarmachars targeted a four-vehicle convoy of the occupying army in a bomb blast and armed attack as they were transporting Lieutenant Colonel Nasir of the occupying army’s 128 Wing from Washuk to Kharan.
In this operation, two vehicles of the occupying army came under direct fire, with one vehicle being completely destroyed in a rocket attack. Four personnel were killed and more than six were injured in the attack, including three who are in critical condition.
On the same day, sarmachars confiscated a vehicle carrying supplies to the occupying army on the Chedgi route in Panjgur.
July 10
In the Meenaz area of Buleda, sarmachars ambushed vehicles of the occupying army, resulting in the on-the-spot elimination of two enemy personnel. Meanwhile, in the Butto area of Nushki, sarmachars destroyed an important bridge on the Quetta-Taftan highway in an explosion.
July 11
In the Kuchaki area of Nushki, sarmachars seized control of a police checkpoint and detained three personnel present there, subsequently planting explosives and completely destroying the post. The checkpoint was targeted as it was involved in illegal extortion from passing vehicles, while the detained police personnel were released after a stern warning.
July 12
In the Naghar area of Surab, sarmachars ambushed two vehicles of the occupying army as they were leaving their camp.
Three personnel were killed on the spot in this attack, and at least seven others were injured, who managed to save their lives by fleeing.
Meanwhile, in the Gurgina area of Mastung, sarmachars targeted two vehicles of the occupying army in an armed attack, inflicting losses on them.
On the same day, at the railway crossing (Phatak) in the Ahmed Wal area of Nushki, foot soldiers of the occupying army were targeted in an armed attack, resulting in the on-the-spot elimination of two personnel.
July 13
In the Zomi area of Kharan, on the Kharan-Quetta highway, sarmachars launched an armed attack on convoys of the occupying army’s vehicles, resulting in the elimination of three personnel and injuries to several others.
On the other hand, in the Naghar area of Surab, sarmachars targeted occupying army personnel in an armed attack in a narrow gorge as they were passing through on motorcycles; two occupying army personnel were killed and at least three were injured in the attack.
On the same day, a sniper of the BLA targeted and eliminated a soldier deployed at the occupying Pakistani army’s camp on the main highway in the Sonaro area of Wadh. Meanwhile, in Dalbandin, a vehicle transporting materials for a military project was set on fire and destroyed.
Furthermore, intense clashes broke out between sarmachars and the occupying army on the Chedgi route in Panjgur, in which four personnel of the occupying army were killed and several others were injured, while two BLA sarmachar Sangat Masood alias Sami and Sangat Shah Nazar alias Badal embraced martyrdom during these clashes.
July 14
Sarmachars took control of the Kharan-Quetta road and conducted snap checking for hours, and planted explosives to destroy an empty outpost of the occupying Pakistani army near the highway.
The occupying army used to utilize the said outpost for convoy security and during military aggressions.
On the other hand, sarmachars planted explosives to destroy a key bridge on the Quetta-Karachi highway near the Took area of Kalat. (NVI)
