Four killed in Covid hospital fire in Raipur

    New Delhi (NVI): At least four persons were killed after a fire broke out at a Covid-19 hospital in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur, police said today.

    According to reports, the incident took place in Raipur’s Rajdhani hospital.

    “Four persons have died in the incident. One person died due to fire and three of suffocation,” Raipur Superintendent of Police Ajay Yadav was quoted as saying in a report.

    Meanwhile Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed grief over the deaths and announced Rs four lakh to kin of each deceased.

    “Four people have been reported dead in a fire at a private hospital in Tikrapara, capital Raipur, today. The Chief Minister of the state Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has described this incident as very unfortunate. He has expressed his deepest condolences to the family members of the bereaved family,” Chhattisgarh CMO twteed.

    “The Chief Minister has also announced a grant amount of Rs 4 lakhs to the families of all the 4 people killed in this accident,” the CMO added.
