Islamabad: The people of various regions and ethnicities oppressed by Pakistan will launch an international campaign from tomorrow to demand sanctions and blacklisting of the country by Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
The campaign spearheaded by Sindhis, Baloch, Pashtun and ethic minorities of Pakistan, will be undertaken globally till March 23, which is ‘Pakistan Day’, on social media and through physical protests.
The campaign is being timed with the meeting of FATF which will review Pakistan’s case in terms of its ending support to terrorism.
FATF has been retaining Pakistan in Grey List, implying that it’s under close watch.
There are demands that Pakistan should be blacklisted for its crimes against humanity.
“As the Paris #FATF Plenary & Working Group Meetings will start, protests, webinars & rallies will be held worldwide,” said Zafar Sahito, Founder and Central Chief organizer of Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM).
“Pakistan must get punishment for its crimes against humanity, for supporting radical Islamist groups, harbouring international terrorists & promoting terrorism worldwide,” he added.
He requested maximum human rights activists, organizations, representatives of persecuted religious minorities & leaders of historical nations living in slavery of Pakistan to support & join the campaign.
“Month long campaign #SanctionPakistan by Sindhi, Baloch, Pashtun, Afghan, Bangladeshi, persecuted religious minorities, human rights activists & organizations will start from February 20, 2022,” Sahito noted.
Twitter trend will start from February 20, 2022 till March 23, he said.
