New Delhi (NVI): As new variants of coronavirus continue to emerge, the Global Covid caseload has surpassed 126.6 million while 2.77 million people have lost their lives to the deadly virus so far.
According to the latest data available with Johns Hopkins University, the current global caseload stands at 126,610,797 and the death toll stands at 2,776,055.
The US remains the worst-hit country in the world with 30,218,380 cases so far and 548,825 deaths.
The US us followed by Brazil with 12,490,362 cases and 310,550 fatalities.
India comes at third place in terms of overall caseload with over 1.19 crore cases after reporting 62,714 fresh coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours. 312 fresh deaths have taken the country’s death toll to 1,61,552.
In terms of deaths, Mexico comes in the third place with 200,862 fatalities.
