India conducts successful test-firing of N-capable Agni-4 missile

New Delhi: India tonight carried out a successful launch of nuclear capable Agni-4 Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile, which has a range of 4,000 kms.

The training launch was carried out at approximately 1930 hours from
APJ Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha, an official statement said.

The launch validated all operational parameters as also the reliability of the system, it said.

“The successful test reaffirms India’s policy of having a ‘Credible Minimum Deterrence’ capability,” it said.

The test was part of routine user training launches carried out under the aegis of the Strategic Forces Command, the government said.
