New Delhi: India recorded 18,870 fresh COVID-19 cases and 378 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total active cases now are 2,82,520 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,47,751, it said.
Nearly 28,178 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,29,86,180.
A total of 87,66,63,490 COVID vaccine doses administered across the country so far with inoculation of 54,13,332 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours, the Ministry said.
At least, 18,795 fresh Covid cases and 179 deaths were reported from across the country yesterday.
The country recorded 26,041 fresh cases on Monday.
On Sunday, the country recorded 28,326 fresh COVID-19 cases and 260 deaths in 24 hours.
Nearly 29,616 fresh COVID-19 cases and 290 deaths were reported across the country, a day earlier.
The previous day report said 31,382 COVID-19 cases and 318 deaths were registered in 24 hours.
On Thursday, the country recorded 31,923 fresh Covid cases and 282 deaths in 24 hours.
