New Delhi: India recorded 23,529 fresh COVID-19 cases and 311 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total active cases now are 2,77,020 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,48,062, it said.
Nearly 28,718 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,30,14,898.
A total of 88,34,70,578 COVID vaccine doses administered across the country so far with inoculation of 65,34,306 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours, the Ministry said.
Yesterday, the country recorded 18,870 fresh COVID-19 cases and 378 deaths in 24 hours.
At least, 18,795 fresh Covid cases and 179 deaths were reported from across the country, a day earlier.
On Monday, the country recorded 26,041 fresh cases in 24 hours.
The previous day report said 28,326 COVID-19 cases and 260 deaths were registered in 24 hours.
On Saturday last, the country recorded 29,616 fresh COVID-19 cases and 290 deaths in 24 hours.
Nearly 31,382 fresh COVID-19 cases and 318 deaths were reported across the country, a day earlier.
