New Delhi: India recorded 35,662 fresh COVID-19 cases and 281 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total active cases now are 3,40,639 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,44,529, the ministry said.
Nearly 33,798 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,26,32,222.
The country administered the highest-ever single day vaccination with 2.5 crore doses given in the last 24 hours, the Ministry said.
Yesterday, the country recorded 34,403 fresh COVID-19 cases and 320 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The previous day report said 30,570 COVID-19 cases and 431 deaths were registered in 24 hours.
On Wednesday, the country recorded 27,176 fresh COVID-19 cases and 284 deaths in 24 hours.
Nearly 25,404 fresh COVID-19 cases and 339 deaths were reported across the country, a day earlier.
At least, 27,254 fresh Covid cases and 219 deaths were reported from across the country on Monday.
On Sunday, the country recorded 28,591 fresh COVID-19 cases and 338 deaths in 24 hours.
