New Delhi: India recorded 46,148 new COVID19 cases and 979 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total Covid death toll has gone up to 3,96,730 while the cumulative active cases are 5,72,994.
According to the data available, nearly 58,578 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 2,93,09,607.
Yesterday, the country recorded 50,040 new COVID19 cases and 1,258 deaths in the last 24 hours.
On Saturday, the country recorded 48,698 new COVID-19 cases and 1,183 deaths in the last 24 hours.
On Friday, the country registered 51,667 new COVID-19 cases and 1,329 deaths in 24 hours.
On Thursday, the country registered 54,069 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 1,321 deaths in 24 hours.
On Wednesday, the country reported 50,848 new COVID cases and 1,358 deaths in 24 hours.
On Tuesday, the country reported 42,640 Covid cases, which was the lowest in 91 days.
The single-day deaths reported on that day were 1,167.
