New Delhi: India recorded 47,092 fresh COVID-19 cases and 509 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total active cases now are 3,89,583 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,39,529, the ministry said.
Nearly 35,181 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,20,28,825.
A total of 66,30,37,334 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far, with the inoculation of over 81,09,244 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours.
Yesterday, the country recorded 41,965 COVID-19 cases and 460 deaths in 24 hours.
On Tuesday, the country registered 30,941 Covid cases and 350 deaths in 24 hours.
The country on Monday reported 42,909 COVID-19 cases and 380 deaths in 24 hours.
The country recorded 45,083 fresh COVID-19 cases and 460 deaths in 24 hours on Sunday.
On Saturday last, the country recorded 46,759 COVID-19 cases and 509 deaths in 24 hours.
The country recorded 44,658 new COVID-19 cases and 496 deaths in 24 hours last Friday.
