New Delhi: India registered 2,86,384 fresh Covid cases and 573 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll due to the Covid pandemic has reached 4,91,700.
The active cases stood at 22,02,472 and the daily positivity rate goes up to 19.59% from 16.16%.
Nearly 3,06,357 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 3,76,77,328, the Ministry said.
Yesterday morning, the government reported registration of 2,85,914 new cases in the preceding 24 hours.
A day earlier, registration of 2,55,874 fresh Covid cases and 614 fatalities in 24 hours was reported.
On Monday morning, the country reported registration of 3,06,064 new cases and 439 deaths in 24 hours.
A day earlier, the government reported 3,33,533 new cases and 525 deaths in preceding 24 hours.
On Saturday morning, the government reported 3,37,704 fresh Covid cases against 3,47,254 recorded a day earlier.
The country also recorded 488 deaths during the preceding 24 hours.
