COVID-19 threatens people with heart diseases, as winter hints at a second wave

New Delhi: India registered 1,270 fresh Covid cases and 31 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.

With this, the cumulative death toll due to the Covid pandemic has reached 5,21,035.

The country’s active caseload has declined to 15,859 constituting 0.04% of the total positive cases.

Nearly 1,567 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,24,83,829, it said.

The country’s daily positivity rate now stands at 0.29% and weekly positivity rate at 0.26%

Nearly 78.73 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far across the country.

Yesterday, the country registered 1,421 fresh cases and 149 fatalities in the last 24 hours.

A day prior to that, nearly 1,660 fresh cases were registered across the country.
