New Delhi (NVI): An Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawan today committed suicide by hanging himself in Zewan area of Srinagar.
Officials sources said that the ITBP jawan, identified as Constable Ajeet Kumar, posted at ITBP headquarter in Zewan hanged himself at his quarter.
“Today Ct Ajeet Kumar no 050200073 of sector HQ ITBP has committed suicide by hanging himself in Quarter no 7 at ITBP HQ Zewan and died. Details fallow,” said an official statement.
The reason behind him taking such an extreme step was not known immediately, officials stated, adding that investigations have been launched into the incident.
