J&K: IED detected in Baramulla, BDS on spot

Srinagar (NVI): Security forces today detected an improvised explosive device (IED) near Watergam village of Rafiabad in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said.

Officials said that Road opening Party (RoP) party of security forces detected an improvised explosive device in a passenger shed at Watergam, Rafiabad and additional reinforcement was called by Army’s 32 RR, SOG and CRPF.

Meanwhile, an Army official said that the IED was found near shed in Watergam village of Rafiabad and the traffic was halted for sometime.

“Bomb Disposal Squad has reached the spot and it will be defussed shortly,” the official said.
