Srinagar (NVI): Twenty more people have been tested positive for the deadly coronavirus virus in Jammu and Kashmir, pushing the total tally to 566.
Officials said that ten cases were tested positive at SKIMS Laboratory while ten more were tested positive at CD hospital, Srinagar. Among them, eight are from Anantnag, five are from Baramulla, four from Shopian, two from Pulwama and one from Kupwara.
Dr GH Yatoo, Nodal officer for COVID-19 at SKIMS said that out of 630 samples tested today, 10 were found positive for the Covid.
Dr Salim Khan, Nodal officer for COVID-19 at GMC Srinagar said that out of 377 samples tested, 10 were tested positive. Among them, 8 are from Anantnag while as 2 are from Pulwama, he added.
He further said that 689 samples were received today while the results of 180 samples are awaited.
As per the daily COVID bulletin, Bandipora is topping the list of positive cases in Kashmir with 127 cases. “Srinagar has 86, Shopian 71, Baramulla 72, Anantnag 62, Kupwara 49, Ganderbal 14, Budgam 15, Kulgam 6, and Pulwama 5,” the bulletin read.
In the Jammu region, the bulletin stated that Jammu has 26 cases, Udhampur 20, Samba 4, Rajouri 4, Kathua 1, Kishtwar 1 and Ramban 1.
“The total number of positive cases in J&K is 565 of which 381 are active cases. 167 people have recovered and eight people have died so far,” the bulletin read.
It stated that 66,977 people have been enlisted for observation while as 6,364 have been kept under home quarantine. “381 people are in hospital isolation and 255 are under hospital quarantine. Surveillance of 52,172 people has been completed. 9,082 persons are under home surveillance,” the bulletin read.
