Srinagar (NVI): Jammu and Kashmir today reported 428 fresh corona cases including 67 travelers, taking the total number of positive cases in the Union Territory to 33,075.
Of the total cases, 25,801 are from Kashmir and 7,274 from Jammu division. The UT health officials said among 428 new cases, 274 belong to Kashmir while 154 are from Jammu.
Kashmir has reported 19,508 recoveries so far. The total number of positive cases in Jammu division has reached 7,274 including 5,697 recoveries and 47 deaths.
The officials further said that total number of active cases in J&K is 7,246 including 5,716 from Kashmir and 1,530 from Jammu division.
With 373 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in the UT has reached 25,205 which is 76.20 percent of the total cases. Srinagar district alone has 8,151 positive cases which is more than the total number of positive cases in Jammu division- 7,274.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 78 from Srinagar, 09 from Baramulla, 14 from Pulwama, 27 from Budgam, 14 from Anantnag, 11 from Kulgam, 06 from Shopian, 25 from Kupwara, 65 from Bandipora and 25 from Ganderbal in Kashmir division while as 154 from Jammu division include 65 from Jammu, 12 from Rajouri, 14 from Kathua, 19 from Udhampur, 06 from Ramban, 15 from Samba, 04 from Doda, 12 from Poonch, 02 from Reasi and 05 from Kishtwar,” read the daily information bulletin.
As per the daily information bulletin, 4,35,205 persons in J&K are under observation while 43,158 persons have been kept under home quarantine. Besides that, 7,246 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 3,42,525 persons have completed the surveillance period and 41,652 persons are under home surveillance.
So far, results of 8,77,836 samples are available out of which 844,761 stand negative while 33,075 have been tested positive. Among positive cases, 7,246 are active and 25,205 persons have recovered.
