New Delhi (NVI): Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students today took their protest to parliament demanding the rollback of hostel fee hike, however, they were stopped midway as several of their leaders were detained.
Ahead of the winter session of parliament around hundreds of students held a march towards parliament even as police detained several protestors including JNUSU chief, said reports.
JNU students resumed their march after massive force deployment near parliament. However, they have been stopped again near Safdarjung Tomb.
Meanwhile, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) authorities have temporarily closed the entry and exit gates of Lok Kalyan Marg, Udyog Bhawan and Patel Chowk metro stations located near the parliament, said the reports.
