New Delhi (NVI): Hundreds of Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) students staged protests outside the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) against the new hostel manual and fee hike, which has recently been passed by the university, has entered its third week.
The decisions were taken in a meeting held on October 28. Service charges were increased from Rs 0 to Rs 1700 per month (rough estimate). Similarly room rent for single seater rooms was increased from Rs 20 per month to Rs 600 per month, and for a double seater from Rs 10 per month to Rs 300 per month.
