Srinagar: Terrorists tonight shot dead a policeman near his residence in Saidapora area of Srinagar in Kashmir, police said.
The policeman identified as Javaid Ahmad sustained injuries in the neck when he was fired at by the terrorists.
The critically injured cop was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, the police said.
The area was immediately cordoned off and a search operation launched to nab the culprits, the police added.
