Washington (NVI): Observing of so-called ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’ by the Pakistani establishment yesterday highlights its sheer hypocrisy since Pakistan has been denying national freedom rights to the people in occupied Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a top leader of Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM) said today.
JSFM Chief Organizer Zafar Sahito said in a statement to the NVI that the slogan of Pakistani military and Islamist groups that “Kashmir will become Pakistan” (Kashmir banega Pakistan) is just a fake slogan when Pakistan is not able to solve its internal issues.
“When people of Pakistan are living in misery, its establishment’s claim over Kashmir is nothing more than a Joke,” he said.
“Before shedding crocodile tears for Kashmir, Pakistani generals should end their atrocities, human rights violations, persecution of minorities and illegal occupation in Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pashtunkhwa,” said Sahito whose organisation is struggling for freedom of Sindh from Pakistan.
“Pakistani intelligence agencies and various paid Islamist groups organized few rallies in Pakistan (on February 5) to show solidarity with Kashmir and Kashmiri people…. It is just a fake show to get sympathy from the world on Kashmir cause and to use youth of Kashmir for Jihad (Holy war) against infidels,” he said.
He said Pakistan should stop shedding fake tears on Kashmir and instead grant independence to Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while freeing political workers in these regions who are languishing in military dungeons.
He said Pakistan military has used the Kashmir card for decades to strengthen its political hold on the country and to whip up the Jihad hysteria to enrich themselves.
The Sindhi freedom fighter urged world powers and the United Nations that instead of paying attention to the so-called Kashmir issue, they must act to free the historical nations – Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which are in the chains of theocratic Pakistan.
“If Pakistan generals are so pained over the state of Kashmiri Muslims, why are they completely silent on the slavery of millions of Uighur Muslims in China,” he asked.
Referring to history, Sahito pointed out that Jammu and Kashmir was invaded by Pakistan army along with about 20,000 tribesmen on October 22, 1947 and parts of it were illegally occupied.
The Pakistan army men and tribesmen resorted to looting, vandalized places of worship, raped thousands of women and carried out massacres of hundreds of thousands of Kashmiri people in name of Jihad (Holy war) and in history books of Pakistan, they are known as liberators and messiah, Sahito said.
Pakistan then indulged in lies and misleading propaganda against the last Hindu Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir Hari Singh that he was a tyrant and he was persecuting innocent Muslims of Kashmir, he said.
Pakistan continues to indulge in the same old methods of lies that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian forces are killing innocent Kashmiris, while the fact is that Pakistan is indulging in state-sponsored terrorism in Kashmir by training and sending Islamist terrorist groups and military personnel, the Sindh Freedom Movement leader said.
“Pakistan is responsible for bleeding Kashmir. Kashmir was once a Hindu land and for centuries different invaders and rulers plundered this land. The culture of Kashmir became unique with lots of Hindus. Soft and moderate form of Islam known as Sufism was followed in Kashmir. However, theocratic Pakistan, which was born on fake two-nation theory and enmity with Hindus of India has been constantly needling India and bleeding Kashmir.
“Who is the worst sufferer? Over a million Kashmiri Pandit refugees are forced to live the lives of refugees elsewhere in India. Original Hindu culture and Sufism has been hijacked and destroyed by Pakistan by infiltrating terrorist for several decades and brainwashing people to become radical Islamist,” Sahito said.
