Srinagar: Pakistan-supported terrorists this evening shot and injured a police Inspector who was leaving a mosque here after offering prayers.
Sheikh Firdous, who is posted in Anti-Corruption Bureau, was shot in Batamaloo area of Srinagar, police said.
He was hit in the neck and has been hospitalized.
“Terrorists fired upon police Inspector Sheikh Firdous of #Batamaloo while he was returning from mosque after offering prayers. Shifted to hospital where his condition is stated to be stable. Area has been #cordoned off. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.
