Jammu, Nov 21 (NVI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir President Sat Sharma criticized the National Conference (NC) about bragging much about passing resolution on restoration of special status in Legislative Assembly.

Sharma said even if NC passes the resolution on Article 370 hundred times, Prime Minister is same who trashed it forever and made it a history.

Addressing a seminar titled “Unconstitutional Resolution” organized by BJP’s Legal Cell at the party’s headquarters in Jammu, Sharma dismissed the NC resolution as “unconstitutional.”

“The NC has passed a resolution calling for the restoration of special status, but this was done under highly irregular circumstances. The Speaker directed the expulsion of BJP members, rendering the entire process illegal,” he remarked.

He said even if NC passes special status resolution 100 times in Legislative Assembly, PM is same who scrapped it forever and made it as a history.

Sharma emphasized that the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, was a decisive step taken by the central government, and Prime Minister Modi’s leadership ensured that Jammu and Kashmir’s political landscape underwent a profound transformation.

“Even if NC passes this resolution a hundred times, the fact remains that PM Modi is the leader who made Article 370 a thing of the past. He recently stated that some chapters of history are best left closed,” Sharma added.

Highlighting the developments that followed the abrogation, Sharma pointed out that J&K has experienced significant progress and a growing atmosphere of peace.

“Thanks to Prime Minister Modi’s persistent efforts, peace and stability have been restored in J&K,” he said.

Sharma also emphasized the positive changes that followed the abrogation, particularly the extension of voting rights to marginalized communities such as West Pakistani Refugees and Valmikis. “The day of August 5, 2019, was historic as it brought justice to these long-neglected sections of society,” he stated.

Responding to NC’s renewed calls for the restoration of Article 370 and Article 35A, Sharma accused the party of attempting to mislead the people of Kashmir. “This is just another attempt to deceive the public, as they falsely promised to reinstate Article 370 and Article 35A during elections,” he remarked.

Sharma also pointed out the electoral success of the BJP, which achieved its highest-ever vote share of 26 percent. He noted that NC’s share was only 23 percent, while Congress, despite claiming to have a CM candidate, secured a mere 12 percent. (News Vibes of India)
