Jammu, Apr 29 (NVI): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday chaired a high-level security review meeting at Lok Bhavan in Jammu to assess the prevailing security situation and review preparedness for the upcoming annual Amarnath Yatra.
The meeting was attended by senior police and administrative officials, who deliberated on key aspects of law and order management and coordinated security arrangements across the Union Territory.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review of the overall security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir was undertaken, with special focus on ensuring the safe, smooth and incident-free conduct of the Amarnath Yatra.
Officials briefed the Lieutenant Governor on preparedness measures, deployment plans and inter-agency coordination to maintain heightened vigilance and public safety during the pilgrimage.
The Lieutenant Governor stressed the need for seamless coordination among all agencies and directed officers to ensure robust security arrangements, keeping in view the significance of the Yatra. (NVI)
