Jammu, Jan 17 (NVI): Lieutenant General Navin Sachdeva, General Officer Commanding (GoC) of the 16 Corps, today visited the hinterland areas of the Gulabgarh sector in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district to review the security situation in the district.
The visit was aimed at assessing the current state of counter-terrorism operations and ensuring the security and operational readiness of the forces deployed in the area.
Accompanied by the General Officer Commanding of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo) and the General Officer Commanding of Counter Insurgency Force Delta, the senior military officials reviewed various aspects of the security landscape in Gulabgarh. The area, known for its strategic importance and occasional security challenges, remains a focal point for military and counter-terrorism efforts.
During the visit, Lieutenant General Sachdeva commended the dedication and professionalism of the troops engaged in the ongoing counter-terrorism operations. He acknowledged the unwavering commitment of the forces working tirelessly to safeguard the peace and security of the region. The GoC praised the soldiers for their resilience in the face of difficult operational conditions and emphasized the importance of maintaining high morale and readiness in the area.
The visit is part of the ongoing efforts by the Indian Army to strengthen its presence and operational effectiveness in sensitive areas like Gulabgarh, ensuring that security measures are in place to address any potential threats.
