New Delhi, Nov 05 (NVI): The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has suspended Assistant Engineer (Building) Mohd Naeem with immediate effect in connection with a recent building collapse incident, officials said.
According to an official order issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Old Delhi Zone, on November 25, 2026, the action was taken on the grounds of alleged severe dereliction of duty in connection with the incident and subsequent developments.
The order stated that Naeem would remain under suspension pending further inquiry into the matter.
Copies of the suspension order have been forwarded to the office of the MCD Commissioner, Additional Commissioner, Old Delhi Zone, and Director (Vigilance), MCD Headquarters, for information.
Further action is expected to be taken based on the findings of the inquiry.—(NVI)
