Rajouri, Jan 18(NVI): The mysterious deaths in Budhal village, Rajouri, have been attributed to neurotoxins, stated Dr. Amarjeet Singh Bhatia, Principal of Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri, today.
Flanked by MLA Budhal, Javaid Iqbal Choudhary, Dr. Bhatia while addressing a presser said that the condition is not a communicable disease and urged people calm amidst growing concerns.
“Our findings indicate that neurotoxins are responsible for the deaths. It is important to note that this is not a virus or a contagious disease, so there is no need for panic,” Dr. Bhatia said.
To eliminate the possibility of viral or infectious causes, medical teams had previously taken samples from the deceased. “All reports confirm that those who lost their lives suffered brain damage due to neurotoxins. Our focus now is to determine the source of these toxins, whether it is environmental, food-related, or linked to another factor,” he explained.
MLA Javaid Iqbal Choudhary, standing alongside Dr. Bhatia, emphasized the importance of community cooperation in addressing the crisis. “This is a grave matter, but the administration and medical teams are working tirelessly to resolve it. I urge residents to report any symptoms immediately and to refrain from spreading misinformation,” Choudhary said.
Dr. Bhatia also confirmed that teams are collecting samples from relatives of the deceased to gain further insights. “We are thoroughly investigating and leaving no stone unturned to prevent further loss of life. Early intervention is critical, so anyone experiencing symptoms should contact medical authorities without delay,” he urged.
The deaths have left the village in shock, with locals eagerly awaiting answers about the source of the neurotoxins. Authorities have assured that a comprehensive and transparent investigation is underway to ensure the safety of the community.
Both Dr. Amarjeet Singh Bhatia and MLA Javaid Iqbal Choudhary reiterated their commitment to resolving the issue and urged residents to remain calm. “We are fully dedicated to addressing this situation, and we will ensure that every measure is taken to protect the community,” Choudhary said.
As the investigation progresses, residents are being advised to stay informed through official channels and to avoid relying on rumors. Further updates are expected in the coming days as efforts intensify to trace the source of the neurotoxins and safeguard public health. (News Vibes of India)
