New Delhi (NVI): Amid surge in the new Covid-19 cases in Pune district, all schools, colleges and private coaching institutions will remain shut till February 28.
The decision was taken after Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar held a review meeting on the Covid situation with Pune administration and divisional authorities.
Apart from that, hotels in Pune will close at 11 pm instead of 1 am. No non-essential activities will be allowed on roads between 11 pm and 6 am.
At wedding functions and political programmes, no more than 200 people will be permitted. ‘No objection’ certificates must be obtained from the Pune police for such events.
However, those indulged in essential activities like newspaper distribution, vegetable vendors are excluded from the curbs.
Maharashtra has reported 6,281 new cases and 40 Covid related deaths in past 24 hours.
