Srinagar, Jun 9 (NVI): Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari arrived in Srinagar on Tuesday and was received by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
Sinha welcomed the Union minister upon his arrival in the summer capital and shared details of the meeting on social media.
Gadkari’s visit comes at a time when several major road and tunnel projects are being implemented in Jammu and Kashmir to improve connectivity and strengthen infrastructure in the region.
Officials said the minister is expected to review the progress of key highway and tunnel projects during his visit.
The Centre has been focusing on upgrading road infrastructure in the Union Territory with an aim to improve mobility, reduce travel time and support economic development.(NVI)
