Udhampur, Sep 26(NVI):The district administration of Udhampur rescinded its earlier order issued under which the flying of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles or drones and balloons was banned in the district during the scheduled visit of VVIPs on September 26 and 27, 2024.
The first order is dated September 25, whereby it had categorically placed a blanket prohibition on drone flights. Now, the said direction permits persons and organizations alike to apply separately for single permit allowances for photography and videography of drones pertaining to the current Assembly Elections 2024.
It reads, applicants who would like to fly drones during these dates would need clearance. All other terms and conditions of the order remain.
“It is an attempt to allow media coverage and hold election-related events without compromising security measures when a VVIP is there,” it reads. (News Vibes of India)
