Jammu, Sep 09 (NVI): The army today claimed to have recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the possession of two slain terrorists killed during anti-infiltration bid operation in Laam area of Nowshera sector in Jammu region.
Defence sources said that the recovery includes two Ak-47 rifles, one M4 carbine with vision device, a pistol, eight grenades, assorted ammunition, personal clothing and edibles.
Earlier, in a night long operation, two terrorists were killed during counter infiltration operation in Lam area of Nowshera sector. Defence sources said that both the slain were foreigners and further identity and affiliation is underway.
The operation took place just nine days ahead of the J&K Assembly polls in J&K. Search operation in the Lam area is still on. (News Vibes of India )
