New Delhi: Omicron cases in India have increased to 653, with 75 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours, pushing the overall single day Covid numbers to 6,358 along with 293 deaths.
According to the Health Ministry, Maharashtra has recorded the highest number of Omicron cases followed by Delhi.
The total number of Omicron cases in Maharashtra has risen to 167 and Delhi to 165.
Meanwhile, the country reported 6,358 new Covid cases and 293 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Ministry said.
With this, the country’s active cases now stand at 75,456, while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,80,290.
Around 6,450 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,42,43,945.
The vaccination figure has reached 1,42,46,81,736 across the country with inoculating 72,87,547 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours, it said.
Yesterday, the country reported 6,531 new Covid cases along with 315 deaths.
A day prior to that, the country reported 6,987 fresh Covid cases and 422 Omicron variant cases in 24 hours.
The country reported 6,650 new Covid cases and 387 fatalities in 24 hours.
During the previous 24 hours, the country reported 6,650 fresh Covid cases and 374 deaths.
The country reported 7,495 fresh Covid cases and 434 fatalities in 24 hours, a day earlier.
