On Pakistan’s Independence Day, BLA targets 7 events in Balochistan

Quetta: Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) fighters targeted the Independence Day celebrations of the occupying Pakistani army by carrying out 7 attacks in Quetta, Zamran, Nushki and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan, it said.

BLA operatives fired several shells from a grenade launcher at the Nawab Akbar Bugti Stadium in Quetta city last night when the celebrations were going on under the auspices of the occupying Pakistani army, the outfit said.

In another operation tonight, Baloch Liberation Army operatives bombed a celebration event being held under the auspices of the occupying Pakistani army near the railway station in Quetta, it said.

BLA operatives also targeted the Quetta Secretariat by firing four rounds from a grenade launcher, said its spokesman Jeeyand Baloch in a statement.

BLA fighters also targeted a Pakistani army post in Akhtarabad area of ​​Quetta by carrying out a grenade attack in which at least 2 personnel were injured, he said.

In yet another operation, Baloch Liberation Army commanders attacked a post of Pakistan Army in Sabuni in Zamran from two sides this morning.

The BLA fighters started the attack by killing one enemy officer on the spot with a sniper, Jeeyand Baloch said.

Three more officers were injured in the attack on the enemy army with heavy weapons, he said.

Surveillance cameras installed by the occupying army were also destroyed in the attack.

In one more operation, the freedom fighters carried out a grenade attack at the residence of Younis Muhammad Shahi, a member of the so-called death squad formed by the occupying forces, in Khuzdar this morning.

The freedom fighters also targeted Pakistani Army personnel in Zorabad in Nushki by carrying out a grenade attack in which at least two personnel were injured, Jeeyand Baloch said.
