JeM terrorist, 3 associates held in J-K’s Kulgam, arms & ammunition seized

Srinagar (NVI): Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested a JeM terrorist along with three associates and seized arms and ammunition from their possession in J-K’s Kulgam town.

According to police, the accused terrorist has been identified as Zeyan Javid Dar, a resident of Ushkuru Baramulla while his associates have been identified as Zahid Nazir Mantoo, Umer Yousuf Bhat, both residents of Feeripora Shopian and Muzaffar Ahmad Banday, resident of Mandujan Shopian.

Acting on a specific information regarding movement of terrorists a special checkpoint was established by Kulgam Police along with security forces at village Bogund, during checking of vehicles, three persons were apprehended tactfully by the alert joint party.

“Another associate of them was separately apprehended from the checkpoint,” police said.

As per police records they were affiliated with proscribed terror outfit JeM.

“During search, incriminating material including arms and ammunitions were recovered from their possession,” police added.

A Case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Kulgam and investigation has been initiated, police said.
