Srinagar, July 8 (NVI): One Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist was killed in an ongoing joint anti-terror operation in the Shopian district of south Kashmir on Wednesday, officials said.
A senior police officer said that the terrorist was neutralised during a joint operation carried out by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Army’s Rashtriya Rifles (RR), and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
The operation, which was launched following specific intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area, is still underway and searches are continuing, the officer said.
