Operation Sherawali Enters 26th Day in Rajouri Forests; Search Operation Continues

Rajouri, June 17 (NVI): Operation Sherawali entered its 26th consecutive day on Wednesday as security forces continued an extensive search operation in the dense Dorimal forests of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials said a joint team comprising the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG), and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is carrying out intensive combing and search operations in the area. The operation was launched following inputs about the presence of terrorists in the forest belt.

Security forces have maintained a tight cordon and are systematically searching the rugged terrain and dense forest area.—(NVI)
