New Delhi (NVI): With 21.21 lakh vaccine doses administered till 8 pm, the total vaccination across the country have crossed over 13.22 crore mark, union health ministry said today.
“The cumulative number of COVID19 vaccine doses administered in the country stands at 13,22,40,352 as per the 8 pm provisional report today,” the ministry said.
“These include 92,19,080 Healthcare Workers (HCWs) who have taken the 1st dose and 58,51,361 HCWs who have taken the 2nd dose, 1,16,28,882 Frontline Workers (FLWs) (1st dose), 59,32,541 FLWs (2nd dose), 4,43,89,584 for over 45 years old to 60 years old (1st Dose), 16,28,837 for over 45 years old to 60 years old (2nd dose), 4,78,44,204 for above 60 years (1st Dose) and 57,45,863 for above 60 years (2nd Dose),” it added.
The ministry said, out of the total 21,21,042 vaccine doses administered till 8 pm today, 14,35,858 beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and 6,85,184 beneficiaries received 2nd dose of the vaccine as per the provisional report.
Meanwhile, in view of sudden spike in the demand for oxygen in some states due to an exponential rise in the number of COVID patients admitted in the hospital, the union government has increased the quota of Oxygen (in metric tonnes) for those states.
These states includes, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Uttrakhand and Delhi.
