Pakistan: TTP says it killed 138 Pakistani security men, injured 112 in November

Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) today said it killed 138 Pakistani security personnel and injured 112 in 207 ‘operations’ during the month of November.

Pakistan Army and its elite Special Services Group (SSG) were the worst hit as 93 personnel were killed, while Police and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) lost 81 men and paramilitary Frontier Corps lost 69 personnel, according to the details shared by TTP with NVI.

At least 7 eliminated personnel belonged to Secret agencies, the details showed.

Among the places, the maximum 95 operations of TTP took place in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakthunkhwa Province, according to the detailed statement issued by its spokesman Muhammad Khorasani.

In the same province, the district Bannu saw 46 operations, Peshawar district saw 34, Malakand 13, and Kohat witnessed 8 operations.

The Balochistan Province recorded 7 operations, including 3 in capital Quetta, while Punjab saw 4 operations.

Among the types of the operations, 88 were Sniper/Laser attacks, 41 were guerrilla hits, 31 were ambushes, 18 Grenade attacks/Bombings, 25 Counterattacks and 4 targeted attacks, it said.

These operations caused destruction of 30 military vehicles, 49 cameras, 4 military posts, 2 tanks, 5 drone cameras and numerous solar panels and other military equipment.

The military equipment seized from Pakistani military by the TTP included 15 rocket shells, 6 Kalashnikovs, 5 laser guns, 1 Rocket Rancher, 1 pistol and hundreds of bullets and other military equipment.
