Pakistan: Vehicle of 5 Japanese workers attacked, 2 locals killed

Karachi: A vehicle carrying 5 Japanese nationals was today attacked here in Pakistan by 2 unknown gunmen, one of whom later blew himself up, killing two locals.

The attack took place in Landhi area of Karachi, the capital of Sindh province of Pakistan.

The security personnel escorting the visitors responded and a gunfight took place, according to police and eyewitnesses.

The driver of the van and a guard protecting the Japanese nationals working at Port Qasim were killed.

One of the attackers was shot dead by the security personnel while another blew himself up.

All the 5 Japanese escaped unhurt in the incident.
