Peshawar, Jan 12 (NVI) Pakistani security agencies and their agents have been indulging in killings of politicians, scholars and tribal elders in the country and falsely blaming others, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) said today.
The TTP stated this in a statement amidst a spate of targeted assassinations in various parts of Pakistan, particularly Pashtun-dominated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, and slammed Pakistani military’s official media wing ISPR and its “affiliated media” of indulging in false propaganda against the Islamist outfit.
“For some time now, ISPR and its affiliated media have been continuously engaged in propaganda that the Mujahideen of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan kill everyone except members of a specific political party — PTI -, which tantamounts to turning a blind eye to the truth and covering up their sins,” said the statement.
“As we have been repeatedly making clear in our announcements and statements, the sacred defensive jihad of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan is against the occupying and hypocritical military clique imposing its rule on this country, which has been waging an endless cycle of oppression and oppression against the oppressed people of this country, especially the tribal nations, for the past 79 years,” it said.
“And this cycle is no longer limited to the tribal Pashtuns and oppressed Baloch. But anyone who appears to be an obstacle to the objectives of the Generals of the Army (of Pakistan) is silenced,” said the statement issued by TTP spokesman Muhammad Khorasani.
“What has not been done to the farmers, traders, and workers and leaders of religious and political parties of Punjab in the last few years? The heartbreaking massacres of May 9 and Muridke are undeniable proof of this claim,” he said.
“In such situations, we consider it our duty of faith to stand with the oppressed, regardless of their religious or political affiliation,” the TTP spokesman said.
He said the actions of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, especially over the past five years, make it clear that “the brave Mujahideen of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan have not targeted anyone except the (Pakistan) Army and its agents”.
Underlining that it is “not our policy to target any neutral political party of Pakistan,” he said, “The enemy of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (security forces and its open agents) is also clear and the objective is also clear that they will continue their sacred defensive jihad until the goal for which this country was acquired is achieved.”
On this occasion, the spokesman said, “we once again appeal to all the communities of Pakistan, especially the Pashtun, Baloch and Punjabi nations, to be ready at all times for all kinds of cooperation with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan for their rights and liberation from the atrocities being inflicted on them, so that our homeland can be liberated from this occupying and corrupt group.”
He emphasised: “Let us clarify once again that the killers of politicians, scholars and tribal elders are these same security agencies (of Pakistan) and their agents, who keep taking such steps to hide their defeat and bring the Pakistani people before their Mujahideen brothers. Now the people have recognized this conspiracy and this group well.” (NVI)
