Srinagar: In a big success, security forces tonight killed 4 terrorists of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), including a Pakistani national, in two encounters at two places in South Kashmir.
A policeman was also injured in one of the encounters, the police said.
An encounter erupted in Nowgam village of Dooru in Anantnag when security forces launched a search operation.
A policeman was injured in the initial firing by the hiding terrorists, police said, adding he was shifted to a hospital.

About four hours later, the police tweeted, “#AnantnagEncounterUpdate: 01 #terrorist killed, affiliated with proscribed #terror outfit JeM. Search going on. Further details shall follow.”
Another gunbattle took place in Mirhama area of Kulgam district after a cordon and a search operation was launched by the joint forces.
About an hour after the encounter began, the police tweeted that 3 unidentified terrorists were killed in the encounter and a search operation was underway.
In a subsequent tweet, the police, quoting IGP Vijay Kumar, said, “Two local #terrorists and one #Pakistani terrorist affiliated with proscribed #terror outfit JeM killed. Search still going on. 01 M4 and 02 AK 47 rifles recovered. A big success.”
