Quetta, Aug 20 (NVI) At least 96 Baloch people were forcibly disappeared and 19 were extra-judicially killed by the Pakistan forces and affiliated institutions in occupied Balochistan and some places of Pakistan during the month of July, according to a Human Rights organisation.
In its monthly report, ‘Paank’, which is affiliated with the Baloch National Movement (BNM), has documented serious human rights violations in Balochistan, including enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, torture, and attacks on civilians, supported by evidence and documentation.
Kech district remained the most affected, with 29 enforced disappearances, followed by Shaal (Quetta) with 17 cases, and Gwadar with 9, the report said.
Awaran district reported 8 such cases, Washuk 7, Karachi and Panjgur 5 each, and Noshki and Dera Ghazi Khan 3 each., it said.
In Dera Bugti, Mastung, and Lasbela, 2 cases each were recorded, while single cases emerged from Khuzdar, Kalat, Chagai, and Islamabad, it said.
Among the most alarming incidents, Paank highlights the arrest of an eight-year-old child, Shoaib Khalid, from Turbat, detained for sharing on social media a video of human rights activist Gulzar Dost’s speech.
The report also documents a Frontier Corps (FC) rocket attack on July 10 in Gwarukop, Kech district, where a playground was directly targeted.
Seven civilians were injured; one of them, Ali Ghulam, died from his wounds, while Shahab Dostdil remains in a coma.
Locals accused the FC of deliberately targeting civilians and demanded an independent investigation.
Extrajudicial killings continue to be a pressing concern.

Additionally, three mutilated bodies were discovered in Kalat district of Balochistan but could not be identified as their faces had been disfigured with acid, the report said. (NVI)
