Quetta: The narrative propagated by ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS-K) in Balochistan is the scripted theme of the Pakistani military aimed at manipulating public opinion against the Independence movement of the region, says Dr Allah Nazar, the chief commander of Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF).

He said the use of ISIS-K by the Pakistani military against the Baloch liberation movement is its old tactic of weaponizing religion for its benefits.

The Pakistani State has historically used proxy elements to defame independence movements and erode public trust in genuine resistance, he said.

He said ISIS-K’s current narrative in Balochistan is a continuation of this policy — an ISPR-designed propaganda tool aimed at weaponizing religion to delegitimize nationalist struggles.

Dr. Allah Nazar, whose organisation is militarily fighting for freedom of Balochistan from Pakistan, said the Baloch liberation struggle is deeply rooted in the support of the Baloch people themselves and is not dependent on any foreign powers.

The liberation movement represents genuine national sovereignty and identity, he said in the BLF’s recently published magazine ‘Isper’.

In contrast, the occupying Pakistani State is employing every method to destroy the Baloch nation and erase its identity in order to turn Balochistan into a permanent colonial outpost, he said.

He pointed out that in Balochistan, the control of security policies rests not with the civilian government but directly with the military, which sustains political instability by maintaining ties with terrorist groups. (NVI)
