Poonch, June 26 (NVI): A Pakistani national was apprehended by the Indian Army while allegedly attempting to infiltrate into this side of the Line of Control (LoC) in the Gulpur sector of Poonch district on Friday, sources said.
Official sources that the individual has been identified as Mohammad Sajjad (26), son of Mohammad Rafiq, a resident of Polas village in Bandi Abbaspur district of Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
They said the suspect was intercepted and taken into custody by Army personnel during the alleged infiltration attempt along the LoC. He is currently being questioned, while further investigation and other necessary legal formalities are underway.
There was no official statement from the Indian Army regarding the incident till the filing of this report. (NVI)
