New Delhi (NVI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today offered condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in a plane crash in Indonesia as a Boeing 737 passenger plane of Indonesia’s Sriwijaya Air, with more than 50 passengers onboard, crashed into the sea yesterday.
PM Modi said that India stands with Indonesia in this hour of grief. “Deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate plane crash in Indonesia. India stands with Indonesia in this hour of grief,” the Prime Minister said in a tweet.

According to reports, Indonesia divers have located parts of the wreckage of Boeing 737-500 at a depth of 23 meters (75 feet) in the Java Sea.
The plane had gone missing soon after take-off from Jakarta airport yesterday.
Sriwijaya Air flight SJY182 took off from the airport in the Indonesian capital and was headed to Pontianak in West Kalimantan province, according to media reports.
The flight lost more than 10,000 feet of altitude in less than one minute, about 4 minutes after departure from Jakarta.
