New Delhi (NVI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani held a telephonic conversation today where Ghani thanked India for the timely supply of food and medical assistance amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The two leaders also exchanged views on the evolving security situation in the region and other areas of mutual bilateral interest.
PM Modi reiterated India’s commitment to the people of Afghanistan in their quest for a peaceful, prosperous and inclusive Afghanistan, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
In addition to this, both the leaders also exchanged greetings on the joyous festival of Eid–ul–Adha.
